Time for a new book in the Etude of the Week group! This time around, the group voted for 25 Studies for the Flute by Louis Drouet. Here’s No. 1 Allegro in C Major!
After completing the last book of Köhler etudes, I’m relieved to see that these appear to be less of a technique challenge. As I work through this book, my goals are to focus on my support (I’ve had some lockdown laziness!) and try and make these as expressive as possible. I also want to start posting earlier in the week and not waiting until Sunday each time!
I’m hoping to finish Andersen Op. 37 this week (how long have I been saying that?), so I’ll see you tomorrow for another etude!
