Théodore Dubois (1837-1924) was a French composer, organist, and teacher known for his elegant and expressive works, many of which reflect the refined aesthetics of the late Romantic era. Au Jardin (In the Garden) is a charming and lyrical piano suite that showcases Dubois' gift for melody and atmospheric writing. This flute duet arrangement depicts scenes from the garden: birds, butterflies, roses, ducks, children playing, even a rainstorm and the first star of the evening. This collection of short character pieces is suitable for intermediate to advanced players.
