Mel Bonis (1858–1937) was a French composer whose works bridge the late Romantic and early 20th-century styles. A student of César Franck at the Paris Conservatoire, she studied alongside Debussy and was highly regarded for her harmonic imagination and lyrical writing. Originally for piano, Scenes Enfantines, Op. 92 captures the innocence and joy of childhood in a suite of short pieces. This flute duet arrangement is suitable for intermediate players.
