Frank Lynes (1858–1913) was an American pianist, teacher, and composer, best known for his piano works designed for students. He studied at the New England Conservatory and later at the Leipzig Conservatory under Carl Reinecke, whose influence is evident in his compositions. Scenes from “Alice in Wonderland,” Op. 50 is a suite of ten pieces portraying characters and scenes from Lewis Carroll’s classic stories. This flute duet arrangement for intermediate players incorporates text from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, along with John Tenniel’s original illustrations, creating an immersive storytelling experience for performers and audiences.
