The Nutcracker Suite, composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1892, is a beloved collection of highlights from his iconic ballet. Based on E.T.A. Hoffmann's story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, this festive favorite captures the whimsy and magic of a young girl's Christmas Eve dream. This arrangement for advanced flutists is scored for three C flutes and alto flute, with an alternate Flute 4 part provided for ensembles without an alto flute.
